In case you are a fan of amateur roller hockey (and who isn’t), here are some photos from my team, the Tornadoes, in the Eastern Massachusetts Roller Hockey League (EMRHL) championship held yesterday at Hockey Town in Saugus, Massachusetts. If you weren’t one of the dozen in attendance (including the rink employees, a bored infant, and a few supportive spouses, friends, and family members), then you can relive the memories by reading this blog post and looking at the photos, provided courtesy of Dave Gardner, Commissioner and Owner of the EMRHL.

Special thanks to the Hooters on Route 1 in Saugus for hosting the postgame celebration. (editor’s note: There is no known footage of this event.)

PS- Want to see more fast-paced, high-scoring, edge-of-your-seat roller hockey action? I already know the answer to that!
Check out the below video of a recent matchup between my Tornadoes squad vs Auntie Em. And yes, we had a Wizard of Oz gimmick with team names this season…just one of the many quirks of the “E” league.
This video is courtesy of Adam Muse, helmet cam operator/damn good roller hockey player.
