Some-Dream-About-Success-Others-Make-It-Happen
Dreams make reality happen.

Ever wanted to start your own small business?

No? OK, then. You can stop reading this blog post right now and go back to being happy with not owning a small business.

Because this blog post is dedicated to the schemers, non-dairy creamers, and fellow dreamers who hustle at the Grind and Grind at the hustle in hopes of one day waking up and realizing…woah, I am living my dream.

But before you get to that point…you need to get to that point.

How? By reading the rest of this blog post, then taking action to change the status quo if you want to start living the American Dream…instead of the American Nightmare:

3. You buy a franchise.

Franchises are one way of achieving your American Dream.
We need more Captain D’s up in here.

When you buy a franchise, such as Subway, you are purchasing the trade name and guidance of the franchisor in operating a small business.

Want more information on franchising? I made it easy for you. I Googled “What does franchising mean?” and this blog post about it came up in the search results. The next step is up to you. I just Google stuff and write about it.

2. You inherit it.

Small business tip: You need a planet on which to run your small business.

If your family runs a business, like a restaurant or a general contracting firm, then you may be in line to take it over someday. You can also stop reading this blog post because you’re probably all set.

Or…you can keep reading if you don’t WANT to inherit that business and you instead want to pursue YOUR dream. OK, then keep reading. And I’ll keep writing.

1. You turned a side hustle into a full-time hustle.

Know The Rules & Weigh Your Options Before Starting A Side Hustle
This guy must be very limited in the type of stock photo gigs he gets.

This is, in my opinion, the best way of achieving the life you want to live. The side hustle model allows for pretty wide safety net for you to try things, screw up, learn, and try again. The experience you gain and the network contacts you make from others in The Game will fuel the side hustle into a side job or more if you are serious about it.

The biggest drawback to the side hustle method of starting your own small business? You may need to sacrifice nights, weekends, vacations, holidays, and other times that will make you question whether you really want this.

And if your answer is “Yes, I freakin’ do,” then you might have a chance at achieving your dream.

Which do you prefer?

1. No chance

2. One chance

To get that chance, then you need to gain the experience and knowledge provided from a side hustle.

And if you already have the comfort and benefits of a steady day job, then you have the foundation upon which to build your Empire of Awesome.

Do you want to own small business?
What are you doing to make that dream a reality?
